Terms & Conditions

We are so happy that you have chosen to come and stay with us on our beautiful campsite. We really do hope that you have a lovely time with your friends and family. To ensure a smooth and safe campsite for everybody, please have a good read through the terms and conditions listed below.

PAYMENT

Unless agreed in writing, you are legally responsible for any payments due to us.

Full payment will be taken at the time of booking. Your pitch/es will only be confirmed once this payment has been received. Payments are taken through our online booking system only.

All bookings/payments are final and promotional codes/discounts cannot be applied after a booking/payment has been made.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING

 

BARN OWL FIELD

As part of your booking the following will be included:

  • PITCH AND FIRE PIT: One pitch includes camping for up to four people in one tent. If your party is larger than four, then up to 2 extra people can be added at the time of booking. A pitch can hold up to a maximum of 6 people in one tent. Pitches will be allocated prior to arrival. Each pitch has its own individual fire pit for you to use.
  • LENGTH OF STAY: Unless otherwise stated, bookings include stay for two nights (Friday and Saturday) on a normal weekend, three nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) on a bank holiday weekend and 3 nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) during a midweek stay.
  • USE OF THE POLE BARN: Please leave the space clean any tidy to be enjoyed by other guests.
  • ‘THE NEST BOX’: You will be able to purchase drinks, cakes and snacks from The Nest Box during opening hours. The Nest Box will accept both cash and card.
  • ‘THE MAC SHACK’: You will be able to purchase homemade toasted sandwiches, crepes and other food from The Mac Shack during opening hours. The Crepe Shack will accept card only.
  • TOILET AND SHOWER BLOCK, WASHING UP SINKS AND FRIDGE
  • DESIGNATED CAR PARKING AREA. Vehicles are left at your own risk. The Macs Farm will not be held responsible for any damage/loss to your vehicle or it’s contents.

BELL TENTS

We work with Bumble Tents & Events. Bell tents are available to hire for your camping weekend for an additional cost. All information regarding the bell tents and bookings must be made via the Bumblebell website. Here you will also find a separate set of T&Cs for bell tent bookings. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

To make staying on our farm enjoyable as possible we kindly ask that all guests adhere to the following:

  • ARRIVAL: Unless otherwise stated, you are free to arrive any time after 12 noon on the Friday of a booked weekend, or on the Monday of a midweek stay. Unless otherwise stated, check out is by 2pm on the Sunday of a weekend stay, Monday of a bank holiday weekend stay or Thursday of a midweek stay. Please note that check in/out times may sometimes vary so please do check the details of your chosen stay carefully.
  • No vehicles are allowed into the camping field at any time. Wheelbarrows will be placed in each of our car parking areas. These are provided for you to transfer all your camping gear to your pitch. Once this is completed please return the wheelbarrow to the designated area.
  • PARKING: Parking is only allowed in the designated car parking areas. Vehicles and any other property are left at your own risk. We will not be held responsible in cases of damage or loss in relation to your vehicle and/or its contents. Driving is restricted to 10mph anywhere on the farm.
  • MUSIC: We are a quiet family campsite. No music of any kind is permitted in any of our camping fields at any time. We respectfully ask that our camping fields are quiet by 10pm. Silent discos are not permitted.
  • CAMPERS: We do not allow unsupervised campers under the age of 21
  • FIRE PITS AND WOOD: Each pitch includes a wood box so that you can use your fire pit. Only firewood provided by us on site is permitted to be burnt in the fire pits. You must not bring any with you or forage for it. In the event of very hot and dry weekend we have the right to ban use of all fire pits. This is for everyone’s safety and as it is out of our control, no pitch refunds can be issued. Use your fire pit at your own risk. We will not be held responsible for any personal injury that is sustained whilst you are camping and using the fire pits/campfires on our farm.
  • RUBBISH AND WASTE: All your rubbish and recycling must be taken home with you and pitches must be left clear. We recommend that you try and leave unnecessary packaging at home to make this as easy as possible.
  • DOGS: We welcome well behaved dogs on leads to the farm. Please keep them under control and watch them at all times. Dogs are not permitted in to our ‘Meet the Chickens’ Field. Always clear up after them. Take a look at our dog policy for more information.
  • GLASS: Glass is not permitted on site. We recommend using reusable/recyclable cups. This is to keep our farm, animals and all our guests safe.
  • WATER BALLOONS: The use of water balloons is not permitted on site. 
  • FIREWORKS/LANTERNS: No fireworks or lanterns to be used at any time.
  • KITE FLYING: Strictly NO kite flying anywhere on site.
  • SWIMMING: No swimming in the duck pond or any bodies of water on the farm.
  • PLEASE NOTE: We will not be held responsible for any personal injury that is sustained whilst you are camping. We ask that every camper is respectful of others, the farm and the environment. We reserve the right of admission. Any guests being disrespectful or not adhering to the responsibilities listed above will be asked to leave. No refund will be given.
 

WEATHER

Unfortunately the Great British weather is out of our control. Please note that our camping and events are not weather dependant and we are unable to offer refunds due to weather- it will probably end up being the camping or event you end up remembering fondly for years to come!

EXTREME WEATHER

In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel camping stays or events. In this case, we would offer you an alternative stay/event or a full refund.

CANCELLATION

If you cancel your booking/tickets for any reason, the following will apply.

  • If you cancel your booking more than 22 days before arrival, you will receive a full refund (minus booking fee of 2.5% + £1.99)
  • If you cancel your booking 21-15 days before arrival, you will receive a 75% (minus booking fee of 2.5% + £1.99)
  • If you cancel you booking 14-8 days before arrival, you will receive a 50% refund (minus booking fee of 2.5% + £1.99)
  • If you cancel your booking 7-0 days before arrival, no refund will be given. We reserve the right to cancel your booking.
 

Please note that the cancellation policy for early bird bookings is different to the one listed above. The relevant cancellation policy is outlined in the documentation that has been sent to you or your group leader prior to booking.

 

COVID-19 POLICY

COVID (Virus) specific policy: If the government impose further travel restrictions for overnight stays (or national lockdown), all full paid pitch fees will be offered a holiday date transfer (all transfer dates must be within the same calendar year of the cancellation date) or the option to receive 85% of fees refunded (15% withheld to cover admin and fees).

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you or a member of your group need to ‘self isolate’ and for safety reasons you wish to cancel your booking, our standard cancellation policy applies. We would therefore advise that you have travel insurance in place to safeguard your holiday costs.

Please note that if you have booked a bell tent, Bumble Tents & Events T&CS will apply and are different to that of the above.
